The stadium, home to the Pioneers football, and men’s and women’s soccer teams, was renovated in 2004 with a gift from James ’74 and Deborah Schneider. It has an artificial turf surface, lights for night competitions and a new scoreboard.
Quad/Graphics Team Center
Completed in spring 2007, it includes three locker rooms, a training room, ticket and concessions areas and a spectator mezzanine. It was built, in part, with a generous donation from The Windhover Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Quad/Graphics and the Harry V. Quadracci family.
Dennis Punches Track and Field Complex
Made possible with two generous gifts from Dennis Punches ’58, the 400-meter, eight-lane track, built in summer 2007, has a natural turf infield for field events. In spring 2008, an artificial surface will be installed on the running lanes. The bio-engineered Beynon surface is environmentally friendly and creates a shock-absorbing cushion that is safer for athletes and can be customized for use in widely varying temperatures.
Van Male Field House
Built in 1976 with a gift from Oliver J. ’22 and Nellie Van Male in memory of their son, James ’54, it was renovated in 2001 with a gift from Ted Baker ’71. The renovation includes the Ted Baker Basketball Court, volleyball courts, a four-lane indoor track, bleachers, a scoreboard and sound system. The building also houses coaches’ offices.
Van Male Weight Room
This 2,000-square-foot facility has more than two tons of free weight, rubberized dumbbells from 5-100 pounds, squat racks, lifting platforms, Hammer Strength and Magnum Fitness machines.
Ganfield Recreation Center
Carroll's recreation center has a basketball court, volleyball court, dance studio and fitness center. Equipment includes Magnum fitness selected weight machines, Olympic bench, Smith machine, total Gym and dumbbells, a Concept II rower, Life Fitness treadmills, Trotter treadmill, upright bikes, upper body exerciser and cross trainer, and a Traverse climbing wall.
Van Male Natatorium
The six-lane, 25-yard pool is 4 feet deep on the shallow end and has starting blocks on the deep end. There is no diving board. An elevated spectator viewing area allows fans to watch the competition.
Kilgour-Trailblazer Tennis Center
The six-court complex, which opened in August 1997, was built with support from the Carroll Trailblazers booster club and is named for Jean Kilgour, a longtime former Carroll teacher and coach who championed women’s athletics.
Frame Park Baseball Field
Through a partnership with the Waukesha Park and Recreation Department, the Pioneer baseball team plays home games in this picturesque setting along the scenic Fox River.
Kilgour Field
Home to the Lady Pioneers softball team, it is named for Jean Kilgour, a longtime former Carroll teacher and coach who championed women’s athletics.
